Awards Recognize Dedication to Women-Owned Businesses
MENLO PARK, CA -- Kathleen Trimble, director of supplier diversity at Robert Half International (NYSE: RHI), received the Corporate Advocate Award from the Astra Women's Business Alliance. This inaugural award recognizes an outstanding Astra corporate member for mentoring and advancing contract opportunities for Astra women-owned businesses.
Trimble, who serves on the Astra board of directors, was acknowledged for promoting women-owned companies to provide the maximum opportunity to compete for business at Robert Half. She also is a national leader with the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Robert Half also received the Astra Corporate Done DealsTM Award in recognition of the number of contracts completed with Astra women business owners.
Through its Supplier Diversity Program, RHI encourages diversity in the suppliers and partners who help meet the needs of the company's customers.
Astra Women's Business Alliance is a nonprofit dedicated to the relentless pursuit of leadership, opportunity and diversity for women in business. The organization provides WBENC certification and training to women-owned businesses in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Northern California.
The awards were presented during the organization's 13th Annual Workshop, Matchmaker and Awards Dinner held in San Francisco on Oct. 8, 2009.
